Valoriza renews street cleaning and waste collection service in Esplugues de Llobregat

The new 10-year contract, worth €68 million, reinforces the commitment to sustainability, innovation and service quality

Valoriza Servicios Medioambientales has begun its new street cleaning and urban waste collection contract in Esplugues de Llobregat, reaffirming its commitment to continuous improvement and efficient management of public services.

The contract, awarded for a period of ten years and worth a total of €68 million, incorporates significant technological, operational and environmental improvements resulting from Valoriza's accumulated experience and commitment to innovation. The most notable new features include door-to-door commercial collection of paper, cardboard and organic waste, the implementation of a new bulky waste collection system aimed at reusing materials, the introduction of containers with smart locks and control technologies, as well as route optimisation and the renewal of the fleet with more efficient and sustainable vehicles.

The new service also reinforces street cleaning efforts by incorporating state-of-the-art tools and equipment, which will enable a gradual improvement in service quality and greater efficiency in urban cleaning.

With this new contract, Valoriza consolidates its role as a benchmark in the sustainable management of urban services, working alongside Esplugues de Llobregat City Council to offer a cleaner, more modern and environmentally friendly city.
