San Fernando de Henares, 7 June 2026.

Valoriza will continue to provide the maintenance and upkeep service for San Fernando de Henares’ green spaces over the next five years, continuing its work in the municipality with a proposal that combines experience, expertise, technology and sustainability.

The new contract will enable the service to evolve based on the knowledge acquired by Valoriza and will strengthen the resources allocated to the maintenance of the municipality’s green spaces.

Among the planned improvements are an increase in staffing levels above the established minimums, as well as the support of a team specialising in various disciplines, including tree management and geographic information systems. Additional vehicles, machinery and equipment will also be introduced to respond more efficiently to the service’s needs.

The proposal also provides for an increase in the frequency of certain tasks, such as weeding around trees and pruning shrubs and hedges, alongside preventive planning of work to anticipate the needs of each season.

Another key focus will be digitalisation. Valoriza will implement tools based on ESRI technology to automate incident management and digitise work orders, facilitating real-time monitoring of the work carried out. In addition, it will use Iris, its in-house tool for preventive machinery maintenance and spare parts

management, with the aim of ensuring the operational continuity of the service.

Sustainability will also be a key consideration in the fleet renewal. At least 37.5 per cent of the proposed new vehicles will be electric and 12.5 per cent will be hybrid.

With this renewal, Valoriza is strengthening its presence in San Fernando de Henares and its commitment to managing green spaces based on technical expertise, innovation and continuous improvement, with the aim of continuing to provide well-maintained, sustainable and high-quality public spaces.
