Valoriza begins providing street cleaning and waste collection services in Leganés

The new contract incorporates state-of-the-art machinery and a reorganisation plan to improve cleaning in all neighbourhoods

Valoriza has begun providing the new street cleaning and waste collection contract in Leganés, a project that reinforces the municipality's commitment to sustainability, efficiency and continuous improvement of public spaces.

The contract, awarded to Valoriza and the Valoriza-FCC joint venture, involves a 15% increase in staff and the renewal of 50% of the fleet, which will now consist of state-of-the-art vehicles that are more efficient, quieter and more environmentally friendly.

Among the main improvements are the incorporation of mechanical sweepers, street washers and electric and ECO vehicles, which will enable more efficient and sustainable cleaning. In total, the service will have 55 specialised vehicles, half of which are newly acquired.

In addition, a comprehensive reorganisation of the service areas has been carried out, adapting resources to the specific needs of each neighbourhood to ensure more balanced and consistent maintenance throughout the municipality.

With this new contract, Valoriza consolidates its commitment to offering more efficient, modern and environmentally friendly cleaning services.
