Albacete, 5 August 2026.

Valoriza, in a joint venture with Naturtec, has commenced the new contract for the upkeep and maintenance of Albacete’s green spaces, a service that will help to further improve the city’s green spaces through more efficient, sustainable and innovative management.

The new contract covers the upkeep of around 1.7 million square metres of green spaces – an area set to continue growing over the coming years – as well as the maintenance of a tree population comprising around 19,000 trees.

Key planned initiatives include the modernisation of irrigation systems to optimise water consumption, the installation of new meters to enable more efficient water resource management, the refurbishment of children’s play areas, the development of the future Tree Management Master Plan, and new initiatives aimed at improving accessibility and the upkeep of the city’s green spaces.

The service will also benefit from additional staff and new resources designed to provide more responsive and higher-quality maintenance, tailored to Albacete’s current needs.

With this new contract, Valoriza continues to reinforce its commitment to the sustainable management of public spaces, focusing on solutions that help improve people’s quality of life and build greener, more resilient cities that are prepared for the future.
