Valoriza launches its own technological infrastructure after a comprehensive transformation carried out by IBM Consulting

IBM Consulting has successfully completed an ambitious comprehensive technology transformation programme for Valoriza Servicios Medioambientales, which has ranged from the modernisation of its infrastructure to the implementation of a new business management platform based on SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition. The transformation, executed in a record time of nine months, has enabled Valoriza to operate as an independent company with a completely renewed, robust technological platform that is ready to scale in the future.
This ambitious project has involved the execution of a comprehensive transformation of its technological infrastructure, including the migration and modernisation of more than fifty applications and the implementation of advanced solutions to optimise Valoriza's financial, purchasing and human resources management.
IBM Consulting has led the transformation of Valoriza's technological infrastructure and communications. Change management and training have been key aspects to ensure the adoption of the new tools and processes by Valoriza's teams.

A new technological architecture for a new phase
The project has faced three major challenges. The first was related to the implementation of a new infrastructure and the transfer of server loads and data, which also allowed for the replacement and implementation of purchasing and financial consolidation systems. In addition, the entire Human Resources system has been integrated, with an important organisational variable in the whole transformational project. Finally, all operational apps have been moved to a proprietary cloud, managing the legacy and adjusting operability.
As the backbone of the transformation, Valoriza has deployed its own SAP S/4HANA Cloud system with RISE with SAP, covering its main operations in Spain and migrating two SAP ECC systems for Colombia, including the payroll management module. In addition, the historical data system for Spain and Chile has been migrated, ensuring continuity and data integrity.
SAP S/4HANA Cloud es un software inteligente de planificación de recursos empresariales (ERP) que unifica los procesos empresariales y analiza los datos en tiempo real. Su implantación ha permitido a Valoriza modernizar y estandarizar sus procesos de negocio, facilitando la integración de nuevas soluciones digitales. Entre ellas destacan las funcionalidades de SAP Ariba para la gestión avanzada de compras, Group Reporting y SAP Analytics Cloud para la consolidación financiera y la presupuestación, y el módulo DRC (Document and Reporting Compliance) para la gestión de impuestos y facturación electrónica, con integración directa con la Agencia Tributaria y la plataforma FACE.
El proyecto, que se ha desarrollado bajo los exigentes plazos y condiciones establecidos en el acuerdo de transición (TSA) tras la adquisición de Valoriza, ha contado con una estrecha colaboración entre los equipos de Valoriza e IBM Consulting, con implicación directa en el proyecto de Viewnext en España y Softinsa en Portugal, ambas compañías filiales de IBM, lo que ha sido fundamental para alcanzar los objetivos en tiempo y forma, minimizando los riesgos y garantizando siempre la calidad del servicio.
