Cáceres, January 31, 2024.
Valoriza Servicios Medioambientales has become the new concessionaire of the street cleaning and solid urban waste collection service in the city of Cáceres, following the signing of the new contract signed by the mayor of the city, Rafael Mateo, and the director of Valoriza's Urban Services, Antonio Gutiérrez.
"We face this new challenge with great enthusiasm, but also with great responsibility, increased by its status as a World Heritage City," explained Gutiérrez. On the other hand, he welcomed "our new colleagues, the staff of the service, who know very well what it is to take care of their city. I am sure we are going to do a great job together."
"When we come to a place, we don't just provide services, we become part of their community, and we make their challenges and goals our own. That is why we are going to be part of the process with which Cáceres will become a more efficient, more sustainable city with better management of its waste, at the forefront of the sector," added the director of Urban Services.
11-year concession
The total value of the contract is 105,238,870 euros, for a concession period of 11 years. In addition, for the provision of this service, the entire workforce has been subrogated, to which must be added an increase of 5.06% in the workforce.
