Santa Eulària des Riu launches new machinery for street and beach cleaning by Valoriza

The company presents the new vehicles, more efficient and sustainable, within a completely renewed fleet

Santa Eulària des Riu, April 29th, 2025.

Santa Eulària des Riu now has a street cleaning and beach cleaning service, incorporating the latest technology vehicles in the sector. This renovation, with an investment of more than 4 million euros, will provide a more efficient, sustainable and adapted to the needs of the municipality.

The presentation of the new vehicles took place this Tuesday in the Passeig Solidari of the town, chaired by the mayor of the town, Carmen Ferrer. She was accompanied by Mónica Madrid, councilor for the Environment, together with Mario Córcoles, delegate of Urban Services of the Levante area in Valoriza -the concessionaire company-, and Javier Muñoz, head of the service.

The total renewal of the fleet has involved the acquisition of 64 new vehicles with the latest technology in the sector, more efficient and sustainable, almost all of them with Zero or Eco labels. The new equipment includes several RAVO sweepers, DULEVO sweepers, and a CMAR stripper specialized in deep cleaning of pavements. Also, 18 GOUPIL auxiliary vehicles, all of them 100% electric. In addition, new beach screeners, a backhoe and new all-electric tools have been incorporated to facilitate the work of the sweepers.

New service features

With this new fleet, important improvements in the service will be implemented. It is planned to increase cleaning frequencies in practically all areas of the municipality, taking into account the volume of pedestrian traffic, waste generation and specific urban characteristics. Likewise, new services that were not previously provided will be incorporated, such as the intensive stripping of squares, sidewalks and pedestrian streets, which will eliminate stubborn stains and significantly improve the appearance of public spaces.

With regard to beach cleaning, new elements have been incorporated, such as beach screening machines and manual screening machines. Likewise, special attention will be paid to the Posidonia Oceanica management services.

Thanks to the progressive implementation of these services and the continuous training of the staff, the residents and visitors of Santa Eulària des Riu will soon notice a leap in quality in the cleaning of the streets and beaches, offering the image that the municipality deserves.
