Santa Eulalia del Río trusts Valoriza for its street cleaning and waste collection for the next 10 years
The contract for this new service has a total value of 84 million euros

The Balearic municipality of Santa Eulalia del Río has entrusted Valoriza Servicios Medioambientales as the new concessionaire for its street cleaning, selective collection, waste transport and beach cleaning service for the next 10 years, with an annual contract value of more than 8 million euros. This represents a total value of more than 84 million euros.
The arrival of Valoriza in Santa Eulalia means a great improvement for the municipal services of the town. Valoriza will implement a complete renovation of the machinery, using electric and dualized vehicles with biogas to reduce the environmental impact, as well as innovative systems to improve operational efficiency, in order to bet on efficiency and sustainability. In addition, services, means and frequencies will be adapted to the urban characteristics of each area, the level of waste generation and seasonality.
Organic fraction and advanced recycling
One of the highlights of this contract is the implementation of organic waste collection with personal identification containers, incentivizing recycling through bonus policies. Complete islands will also be created with the five waste fractions and six community composting points will be installed, supervised by a master composter.
Innovations in street and beach cleaning
Valoriza will increase cleaning frequencies according to traffic density and the level of soiling on beaches.Specialized sweepers and electric blowers will be used to minimize inconvenience to citizens, and cleaning services will be reinforced on the seafront and other high traffic areas.
For beach cleaning, manual and mechanical equipment will be implemented, paying special attention to the management of oceanic posidonia to preserve the ecological balance of the beaches.
Commitment to the environment and the community
Valoriza will invest around 15 million euros in fleet modernization and the implementation of environmentally friendly technologies. In addition, it will launch an application to manage incidents and improve communication with citizens, along with environmental education campaigns adapted to local needs.
The awarding of this new concession in Santa Eulalia strengthens Valoriza's position in the Balearic Islands, where it already provides its services in other towns such as Ibiza, with cleaning and waste collection, or in San Antonio de Portmany, with the management of the blue zone. With this new contract, Valoriza will provide service to approximately 40,000 more people.
