Madrid, February 27th, 2024.
Valoriza Servicios Medioambientales has once again been awarded the concession for the integral conservation service of the Historical Gardens of Patrimonio Nacional. The new contract is for a period of 1 year plus a further 4 years, with a value of more than 3 million euros per year.
With this new contract, Valoriza will be in charge of the conservation of the gardens of Campo del Moro, El Pardo, San Lorenzo del Escorial and Aranjuez (Madrid), La Granja de San Ildefonso (Segovia), Marivent and La Almudaina (Mallorca) and La Mareta (Lanzarote). This work has been carried out since 2015.
This service will undergo a major renovation with this new contract, as it will have vehicles and electrical machinery. Likewise, a study and continuous monitoring of the trees will be carried out thanks to the use of an innovative software, and at the same time a water saving plan will be implemented thanks to intelligent irrigation. Likewise, maintenance of historical alignments will be carried out and those areas requiring in-depth action will be rehabilitated.
Welfare and awareness
Another of the service improvements will focus on the different awareness campaigns, accompanied by different workshops, aimed at making visitors know more about these Historic Gardens. This work will be supported by the installation of intelligent signage.
On the other hand, the 'Therapeutic Gardens' initiative will also be launched, which will offer visitors experiences focused on their wellbeing.
