El Cantón del Pozo Del Tío Raimundo, finalist in the Architecture 2025 Awards
This facility, operated by a joint venture led by Valoriza, is a milestone for its way of combining efficiency and sustainability in a work centre

Madrid, 23 June 2025.
The canton located in Pozo del Tío Raimundo, from which Madrid's street cleaning service operates through a joint venture led by Valoriza Servicios Medioambientales, has been selected as a finalist in the ARQUITECTURA 2025 Awards organised by the Higher Council of Spanish Architects' Associations (CSCAE).
Designed by the architect Israel Alba, the building has been distinguished among more than 200 proposals selected by regional and collegiate architecture committees, being finally among the 27 finalist candidatures for its constructive singularity, its integration in a complex urban environment and its commitment to functionality with a quality industrial architecture.
Since its construction, this centre has been a milestone in Valoriza's operational management model, combining efficiency and sustainability in the working environment. The facility is part of Lot 2 of the Madrid City Council's street cleaning service.
The ARQUITECTURA 2025 Awards recognise, year after year, the universal, cultural, technical and social values of contemporary architecture. The jury's decision will be announced on 3 July at a gala event to be held at the Fernán Gómez Theatre in Madrid.
This nomination is recognition of Valoriza's commitment to the urban environment and sustainability, incorporating infrastructures that provide added value from design to their impact on public space.
