Madrid, June 2026.

Eight municipalities served by Valoriza have been recognised at the latest edition of the Escobas Awards, organised by ATEGRUS and presented as part of TECMA, the International Urban Planning and Environment Fair.

These awards are among the most prestigious in the sector and recognise initiatives that stand out for their contribution to improving urban services, environmental sustainability, innovation and citizens’ quality of life.

In this edition, Melilla, Guadalajara and Telde have been awarded the Platinum Broom, the highest category of the awards, in recognition of projects and track records of particular relevance in the fields of urban management and sustainability.

Similarly, Cáceres and Leganés have received the Gold Broom, whilst Mairena del Aljarafe, Puertollano and Albal have been recognised with the Silver Broom for various initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency of public services, promoting the circular economy and moving towards more sustainable management models.

These awards reflect the municipalities’ commitment to continuously developing their urban services in order to address current environmental challenges, incorporating innovative solutions that improve resource management, promote sustainability and provide a better service to the public.

For Valoriza, these awards also represent a sense of shared satisfaction with the local councils and the teams working on the ground every day to ensure the provision of essential services. Collaboration between local authorities and operators is key to driving projects capable of generating a positive and lasting impact on cities.

The company would like to extend its congratulations to all the recognised local authorities and thank the professionals who contribute daily to continuing to build cleaner, more efficient and sustainable urban environments.
